Octave and Unison

You learned about what is the octave in the previous lesson. Two sounds related to octave intervals are described as the same notes but at different levels.
If the same two notes at the same level, it is unison.

Please listen carefully the first movie, you can hear how the octaves and unisons sound like in it.

Now watch and listen this movie carefully once. You can hear some octave patterns played by the piano, then repeated by the voice.
At the second time, please try to repeat with this singing voice parts.
In the next movie, please try to follow the directions to make your voice for the piano sound by unison or octave higher/lower from each sounds. It might be a bit tricky, go for it!
Now you will recognize more about octaves in this song, let's enjoy singing!

When you wish upon a star,
Makes no difference who you are,
Anything your heart desires,
Will come to you.

If your heart is in your dream,
No request is too extreme,
When you wish upon a star,
As dreamers do.

Fate is kind,
She brings to those who love,
The sweet fulfillment of,
Their secret longing,

Like a bolt out from the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true.
